✷ Blijdorp Festival invited me to collaborate with Rotterdam-based studio Vormlust - translating their 2D festival characters, the Wuppies, into 3D animation for use across posters, social media, city visuals, and live VJ sets.

The Wuppies already had strong personalities in 2D on the previous editions of the festival. My job was to give them weight, texture, and movement without losing what made them work in 2D. I wanted to focus on the tactility and diversity of these little festive creatures.

Rotterdam has a special place in my heart. I love its edgy energy and creative crowd, that feels like nowhere else in the Netherlands. Blijdorp captures that spirit well, and I wanted that to shine through Wuppies' dynamic animations.
