IWD ident for MTV

For International Women's Day and Women's History Month, I was invited to collaborate on a celebratory ident for MTV.

I envisioned a simple narrative with a focus on fun, magical, and energetic visuals. Three friends are riding a pink cheetah that vigorously carries them away from the patriarchal past and proceeds with running through the lush, free, jungle-like magical world – into the fabulous feminist future. I wanted to convey a diversity of various shapes, colors, and even life forms through the three friends and other female characters in the animation (you can spot aliens, mermaids, and fairies…).  With this animation, I wanted to appropriately reference the IWD's broad subject matter and express my own vision while adhering to the wild and experimental style of earlier MTV idents.
